About Porcelain Veneers

Dr. Peffly offers Empress and EMAX veneers due to their high quality and exceptional aesthetics. The placement of these types of dental veneers takes two office visits in addition to your examination and consultation. During your first dental veneer visit, a small amount of tooth enamel will be removed to allow your customized teeth veneers to fit seamlessly into your smile. We will also make a wax impression of your teeth and fit you with temporary veneers to be worn until your second appointment.

The model of your teeth will be sent to our dental lab partners for the creation of your customized veneers. Once your personalized porcelain veneers have been made, a process that generally take two weeks, you will return to our office for their placement.

In some instances, lithium disilicate, no-prep veneers can be used. This type of veneer is thinner but may not be as effective at covering more pronounced cosmetic imperfections. However, when appropriate for your needs, these veneers eliminate the necessity of enamel removal, making their placement an entirely reversible process. During your initial consultation, it will be determined what type of veneer will best provide you with the smile of your dreams.
