Our professional cleaning includes tooth scaling and tooth polishing and debridement if tartar has accumulated. This involves the use of various instruments or devices to loosen and remove deposits from the teeth. Teeth cleaning (also known as prophylaxis) is a procedure for the removal of tartar (mineralized plaque) that may develop even with careful brushing and flossing, especially in areas that are difficult to reach with routine tooth brushing. Keeping your gums healthy and clean helps solidify the foundation of your dental health.

Our wonderful Registered Dental Hygienists usually perform all dental cleanings. All patients are then seen by Dr. Peffly, each visit to ensure the highest level of dental care.
